Discover Saint-Hyacinthe
Located on the outskirts of the Montreal metropolitan area, Saint-Hyacinthe is one of the main manufacturing zones in Quebec and Eastern Canada. Despite its small size (60,000 inhabitants), it is internationally recognized as a major agri-food innovation hub, particularly in the veterinary and food processing sectors.
Its technology park, the Cité de l’innovation agroalimentaire, brings together nearly 3,000 professionals from the sector, including some 200 world-renowned researchers. They work for companies as well as major specialized institutions such as the Université de Montréal’s Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, the Institut de technologie agroalimentaire du Québec, Cintech agroalimentaire and the Centre de recherche et de développement de Saint-Hyacinthe, Canada’s leading research center for processed foods.
